Peel Ports announce sale of Roadferry

Peel Ports Group has announced the sale of Roadferry Limited to DSV Road Holding Limited, part of the Danish based global logistics and freight forwarding business. DSV is listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

Peel Ports Chief Executive Stephen Baxter said the sale was in line with the Group’s strategy of focusing on expansion of its prime business sector. “The sale of Roadferry reflects Peel’s commitment to growing our core business as operator of Britain’s second largest ports group,” he said.

Roadferry, a major logistics provider across Britain and Ireland, was acquired in 2000 by the Mersey Docks Group which became part of Peel Ports Group in 2005.
